1. Acceptance
By installing or using WordTrail, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the extension.
2. Limited license
WordTrail grants users a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, and non-transferable right to use the extension for lawful language-learning purposes. Users may not misuse the service, attempt to bypass security controls, interfere with service operation, or use the service to violate the rights of others.
3. Accounts and synchronization
An account is optional for core local features and required only for cloud synchronization. Users are responsible for maintaining access to their email account and for activity performed through their WordTrail account. Synchronization is a convenience and should not be treated as the only backup of irreplaceable data.
4. User-provided and imported content
Users retain responsibility for text, notes, images, links, books, and other content they import or add to WordTrail. Users must have the legal right to use that content. WordTrail does not remove, defeat, or bypass digital rights management and supports only user-authorized, DRM-free ebook content.
5. Translation and third-party services
Translations are generated through external services and may contain errors, omissions, or contextually inappropriate results. Supabase and Google Cloud Translation are used to provide authentication, optional synchronization, and translation. Their availability may affect WordTrail.
6. Changes and availability
Features may be added, changed, limited, or discontinued. Service interruptions may occur because of maintenance, browser changes, network conditions, third-party outages, security requirements, or other factors.
7. Disclaimer
WordTrail is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation, perfect accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or preservation of all data. It is a learning aid, not a certified translation, legal, medical, academic, or professional advice service.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, opportunities, profits, or goodwill arising from use of WordTrail or inability to use it.
9. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as the product changes. Continued use after an updated effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms to the extent permitted by law.
